And the Storm Will Come

"Pretty Cool"

date: May 14, 2008

I really like this. I love how it's all nice and then at the end the guitar comes in. The guitar had the perfect volume and with that classical music - just awesome This has a heroic feel to it, and the end sounded like it be when the hero destroys the evil character. What did you use for that classical sound (the only sound at the very beginning)? Was it Sytrus in FruityLoops?

Whatever it was, great work! I love this!

Thanks for the review. :)

The beginning sound was a combinator patch for Reason 3.0 called "Full Orchestra", I believe. I tweaked it a little bit to make the individual instruments in it fit the range I wanted to use, but that's really the only instrument I used until the timpani came in.

I love it! Some vocals would go awesome. Reminds me of a modern version of Def Leppard's older stuff (I love Def Leppard). Great work!

NES-Style: Eye of the Tiger

"Nice"

date: March 10, 2008

But you forgot to add the part after "and he's watching us all with the eye" which goes "of the tiger". You should've added that part so I could sing along properly. >_>

Karco - Apology (Trance Remix)

"Ok..."

date: February 26, 2008

Well, this was pretty boring. The drum beat had was too hard on the high-hats that my ears were starting to bleed (not literally). I think you should've either made the beat's volume lower, or gotten rid of one of those high-hats in the beat.

The electro side of it was ok, but the drum beat was overtaking it and to be honest, this song was quite boring. I can see you've improved immensely though because Rush is turning out great! I can't wait to see the finished version!

February 26, 2008

Author's Response:

The drums were so-so, and difficult to work with namely because this song was in 3/4 time. I know what you mean when you say the hihats were loud, some EQing was probably in order here but I didn't notice it.

This is probably not one of my better songs, and probably because it was rushed. :\ I definitel y have improved since, but I think the main difference was in the effort, not in the skill level.

I'm probably going to finish my hard trance WIP first, but I'm definitely trying to find a way to finish Rush. ;D Thanks for the review!

"Great!"

date: February 25, 2008

Great work! I loved almost everything here... except, when the drums played a few times before it kicked off, I think you delayed it too much. Like, when a few drum sounds came on, then about 3 seconds later the same sounds, then a few seconds later it kicked off. At that part, I think you should've left out the first two drum parts then kicked it off with all the drums starting at the same time.

Overall, good work!

February 29, 2008

Author's Response:

Lol late reply

The drum fills introducing the songs were something I added later on after reading the about 30 reviews this song had at the time. They requested it to kick off faster- I wasn't going to make it shorter, but I did a compromise- by making the intro more exciting. Yay for unnecessary information! COLON DEE

Can't change that now though, 3000+ listens disables editing.

Thanks for the review!!

It was like a kiddy version of scary music lol.

This would be great in a lego racing game when they're on a "scary" racing track... it'd be perfect for that!

At the beginning, it felt really weird listening to you playing those keys in faster tempo - if you know what I mean... Other wise, very cool. Good beat, good work.

Author's Response:

LOL! Yeah! I've got the skills to make Lego music! xD

Thanks, I appreciate it. =)

Sounds like a good loop to be used in a game like Half-Life when the player is blacked out. This wasn't very enjoyable to listen to but in a game it could be good.
