2007 - Chinese Year of the Chicken - Bird flu pandemic devastates part of Asia
2008 - Chinese Year of the Horse - Equine influenza decimates Aussie racing
2009 - Chinese Year of the Pig - Swine flu pandemic kills 100's of people around the globe
It gets worse next year...

I'm sorry to say so, ShortMonkey, but you are counting the wrong years. The PREVIOUS YEAR was the Chinese year of the Pig. This year is the year of the Ox. Don't ask how I know this. Ask a Chinese guy who can speak English, and you'll get the same answer. Hehehe, I laughed my ass off when I saw those mistakes.
